Bruna Imai
Bruna Imai is a Japanese/Brazilian creative director, designer and illustrator with more than 12 years of experience. Bruna’s design versatility is paired with wonderfully clear storytelling. Not only does she breathe life into scripts, but she also has an uncanny ability to make complex and abstract concepts accessible visually.
She accomplishes this through her work, which encompasses graphic design, character design, and illustrations – all with a unique and distinctive accent. Boasting a vast array of illustration styles, she consistently provides a distinctive approach for every endeavor. She is able to do so with charm, fondness, humor, and a refined eye for aesthetics.
More about her?
Despite sounding focused on fun and cuteness, she loves bringing political and personal themes to life in her work, such as her heritages, feminism, equitism, and immigration, unafraid to touch on sometimes painful and challenging truths.
Her work has been shared in all the cool places like Motionographer and Stash Media; she has also already collaborated with many of the big shops like Buck, Elastic, and Lobo. Not to mention the awards and recognition she has received, such as many Promax BDAs, Ciclope, and Annecy, just to name a few.
A little extra about her.
She loves to expand her horizons all the time; be it at the book club, exploring art, trying new recipes, caring for her plants, going for walks, or traveling to a new place. For her, life is an intense and short adventure.
